Secure handoff guide
One time secret link
Create a single-purpose encrypted link for private information that should be opened, used, and removed instead of saved in a conversation thread.
One link, one short window
Send a secret through a dedicated link instead of leaving it buried in email, chat, or a ticket.
Encrypted before upload
The browser encrypts the message first, so the server stores ciphertext instead of readable text.
Designed to disappear
View limits and expiry settings reduce how long the secret can be opened or forwarded.
The practical detail
Why use a one time secret link?
A one time secret link is useful when the message matters, but keeping a permanent record does not. It gives the recipient a controlled path to open the content once, then the self destructing layer removes the stored encrypted message when the rule is met.
A better handoff than ordinary chat
Chat tools are excellent for conversation, but they are poor long-term homes for API tokens, reset codes, server details, and confidential notes. A purpose-built secret link separates the sensitive value from the conversation around it.
Use the link as a security boundary
The complete URL contains the decryption key in the fragment, which is handled by the browser. Share it only with the intended recipient, and pair it with a separate password gate for higher-risk handoffs.
Your message, your rules
Ready to leave less behind?
Encrypt locally, share once, and let the message remove itself automatically.
